(UK) Network Operations Technician

Key role:  this position requires a NOC Technician who possesses an understanding of how to build, configure, and troubleshoot carrier class tdm and tcp/ip networks.

This is a full-time remote Network Operations Technician role responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues. The Network Operations Technician will work with a team of network professionals to maintain and improve network performance and reliability. The role requires experience with a variety of network technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Responsibilities:

• Exceptional knowledge of Network Administration and Troubleshooting
• Experience with routers and other network hardware
• Experience with WAN and LAN, TCP/IP, switching, routing protocols, and other networking technologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Certifications in network technologies such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are desirable
• Exceptional knowledge of Network Administration and Troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Computer Network Operations and Network Security
• Experience with routers and other network hardware
• Experience with Visio and Excel a plus
• Experience with WAN and LAN, TCP/IP, switching, routing protocols, and other networking technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work unsupervised, but also to utilize direction, supervision, criticism, and training effectively
• Strong work ethic and multi-tasking ability
• Certifications in network technologies such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+
• 1-2 years work experience in telecommunications or similar fields (in some cases a 4 year degree would be accepted in lieu of work experience)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
