NexGen Networks Builds Upon Its European Infrastructure New Italy POP
NexGen Networks, the premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions to the world’s top financial services firms and global enterprises, has announced a new point of presence (POP) in Milan, Italy. The new POP will provide NexGen and its client’s direct access to network infrastructure in Italy, the world’s 8th largest economy, with a strategic proximity to its Borsa Italiana stock exchange, which lists €670 billion in market capitalization as of January 2018.
“We are pleased to strengthen our infrastructure and improve our service offerings in Europe with our new Milan point of presence,” says Edward Lawson, SVP of Business Development at NexGen Networks. “The demand for our enterprise data services in the region continues to grow, and it’s important for us to maintain a robust presence in the major European commercial hubs, and particularly near important exchanges like the Borsa Italiana.”
NexGen’s new Milan point-of-presence will meet all global connectivity requirements for Italian clients, with reliable, high-speed connections over the fastest regional and intercontinental fiber routes. It continues a significant trend that NexGen has cultivated by steadily extending and enhancing its network infrastructure in Europe in recent years, with multiple expansions into London as well as POPs in Paris and Frankfurt. NexGen also maintains backbone capacity on the Transit Europe-Asia (TEA) Terrestrial Cable Network, which provides the lowest possible latency connections between Europe and Asia.
